CENTRIFUGAL AIR COMPRESSOR
Low Maintenance
Comparison: Centrifugal compressor and Screw compressor
Centrifugal: Simple at heart

The key is simplicity in a structure that employs fewer bearings. Since IHI compressor is a centrifugal type, it provides high efficiency without concern for clearance between the impellers and scroll casings.
Screw: Complex structure

In the oil-free screw compressor, rotor clearance must be maintained to the minimal level due to it's displacement type design. Rotor and bearing wear, however, increase this clearance, worsening performance and making replacement necessary. In complicated structure s employing many gears and bearings, this makes maintenance difficult and time consuming.
Simplified Structure
Tilting Pad Journal Bearing

Tilting pad journal bearings offer an almost permanent lifespan without replacement. The flexible pads can tilt to maintain optimal shaft centering under any operating conditions.

Simple gear system and no wearing vital parts make maintenance easy. These structures not only reduce daily maintenance but also bring absolute cost benefits in long-term operation.
LABYRINTH SEALS

Unlike carbon ring seals, no regular replacement is required, while 100% oil-free air is ensured.
Titanium Alloy Impeller

Between Impeller and Inlet scroll there is no contact. The vital parts are not worn out, and periodic replacement is not required. The Impellers shaved out from titanium alloy extend its duration than SUS. *Attention: TA series uses SUS impellers.
Gas cooler: Water-in-Tube / Air-in-Shell

Annual cleaning of coolers is recommended to ensure stable operation. Because of their elegant construction, this is very easy to do in the case of our models. All you have to do is brush the inner surface of the tubes. Copper fin, copper tube Cleaning by brush is enough. Pulling out without disassemble of other parts like inlet-scroll.
