The NK-type compressor has the following features:
- Suitable for various applications
- The NK compressor is suited to various applications including air centrifugation (steel and other plant types). Plants benefit from reliable operation that can exceed a decade.
- Three shafts and flexible multi-stage design
- The impeller with its aerodynamically designed blade shape, high rake angles and intermediate splitter blades improves efficiency and suits various applications. Up to six impellers can be installed on three pinion shafts in order to achieve high compression ratios.
- Easy maintenance
- Use of 3D CAD drawings enables easier installation in confined plant spaces. Less floor space is required and minimal regular maintenance assures reliable operation.
For easier maintenance, the gearbox is designed so that it can be divided horizontally, and the intercooler is located outside to extend service life.

- Variations in the gearbox can be measured using stress distribution analysis, and the reaction forces of the gear and pipe during operation are analyzed in detail.
Assuming the actual operating conditions, modes of vibration and thermal deformation of the entire unit are analyzed to ensure safety.
