IHI to Hold a Forum to Introduce Its Technologies in Indonesia, The Heart of Economic Development - IHI Forum 2013 - “Smart Engineering for Indonesia’s Greater Economic Growth”
TOKYO, November 13, 2013 – IHI Corporation today announced that they are hosting the “IHI Forum 2013” on Wednesday, November 20, inviting Indonesian companies, government officials and media.
This event, titled “IHI Forum 2013 - Smart Engineering for Indonesia’s Greater Economic Growth” introduces IHI’s products and solutions based on smart engineering to strenthen social and industrial infrastructure essential for Indonesia’s further development. IHI, which positions Indonesia as an important strategic market in its global strategy, selected the capital of Jakarta for this forum to be held for the first time in Indonesia, co-hosted by the Minister of Industry and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).
To open the forum, Tamotsu Saito, President and CEO of IHI will deliver a speech outlining the company’s long-term commitment on the Indonesian market. Confirmed key speakers and panelists include M.S Hidayat (Industry Minister of Indonesia), Budi Darmadi (Director General for Leading Industry Based on High Technology of the Ministry of Industry) and Rachmat Gobel (KADIN’s Vice Chairman for Infrastructure). Through presentations and a panel discussion, IHI will present its various activities in Indonesia working on sustainable economic growth as well as strengthening infrastructure. In addition, there will be an exhibition area themed on “Indonesia, Heart of Industry” to showcase its latest technological innovations, together with both model and real machinery. Business meeting spaces are also available for visitors to discuss a wide range of IHI’s products and technologies. IHI will introduce the full range of its solutions through various programs at the forum.
