Urban Developments

The IHI Group is expanding its leasing and sales operations with a focus on the Tokyo area in an effort to bring out its full real estate potential in accordance with the CRE (Corporate Real Estate) strategy.
Especially, Toyosu, formerly a shipbuilding yard area, is one of the largest development areas in Tokyo Metropolis. By building office buildings for rent and large condominiums that form the core of the development, IHI is leading the redevelopment business of Toyosu, which many landowners and business firms take part in. Furthermore, to increase the value of the whole area, town development is actively addressed in form of town management, such as staging of events and area cleaning activities, participated by the land owners.

    “TOYOSU FRONT” (15 stories above ground and 2 below, Architectural area 106,200 m²) is an office building for rent completed in the redeveloped area of Toyosu in 2010. It has floor space of over 5,000 m² per floor, which is one of the largest in Japan, is user-friendly in terms of indoor comfort and energy saving as well as being highly environmentally friendly and safe, e.g. by adopting an “vibration-damping wall” and so on. It is directly connected to the Toyosu subway station via an underground concourse and access is comfortable.
