| The V2500 is a next-generation turbofan engine for aircraft developed by a 5-nation joint Japan-U.S.-Europe project. The V2500 obtained FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) approval in 1988. The potential of IHI aerospace technology, which started in 1971 with the development of the FJR710, Japan's first domestic aircraft turbofan engine, is reaching from the atmosphere into outer space. |
