The Kansai International Airport Energy Center

The Kansai International Airport is the Japan's first 24-hour airport and built on a man-made island located in Osaka.
The airport facility is totally supported by the Energy Center supplying a combined heat and power (CHP) with 2units of IHI-LM2500 gas turbines.

Cogeneration

In the case of emergency, this system can generate electricity as back-up generators using the Dual Fuel Capability.
