Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia

IHI designed, supplied, installed, and started up the Cogeneration System, having a total of 40MW electric output and 80t/h steam output to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. For this facility, IHI provided the 2xLM2500 gas turbine + 2xHRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) with the capability of firing on both natural gas and distillate oil. IHI’s LM2500 cogeneration system was selected for its high performance and reliability proven by ourselves.
