| Castings from IHI foundry have been used for Diesel engines,Turbochargerse, | |||||
| and many kinds of plant equipment to serve the iron castings and steel castings. |

| With many year's experience, the introduction of computer solidification | |||||
| analysis has resulted in quality improvement and greater efficiencies in casting | |||||
| design. All these advances are good responsible for the quality and reliability users expect. | |||||

播磨造船所の日の浦地区に造機部鋳鍛課設立 | ||||

石川島重工業と播磨造船所が合併、石川島播磨重工業となる |

鋳造第二課を設立し、生型機械造型ラインとフラン造型を導入 | ||||
| 昭和54年 |
鋳鉄、鋳鋼全生産ラインにフランプロセスを導入 | ||||

鋳造第二課設備を鋳造第一課に集約 | ||||
