The Future Life Expo: Future City is the stage for highlighting this kind of future city
to meet the needs of Society 5.0.
While asking visitors questions,
we will offer the latest proposals
for achieving a happy tomorrow
to create a vision of the Future City together.

We at the IHI Group are combining our technology and expertise to solve
various problems for people around the world and for our living Earth.
In the Environment and Energy field at the Future Life Expo: Future City,
we will create a place to consider a better future full of hope.
We are proposing two major solutions
for the Future City.
Futuristic water management
system that maximizes the gift of
water and protects it against threats
Toward the realization of a water-positive society, we are working to solve water shortage and flooding problems by delivering water resources from forests to river basins to where they are needed, when they are needed, through the utilization of technologies such as observation, forecasting simulations and water gates.
Clean energy system
using ammonia as fuel
To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, we have been developing technology to generate, transport, store and utilize ammonia, the molecules that do not produce carbon dioxide when combusted, and working diligently to implement it in society.
We strive for a society where nature and technology work in unity,
where carbon neutrality is achieved and people can continue living in safety and security forever.
We aim to create exhibits that give visitors hope for the future to take back home with them.

Visitors experience IHI’s vision of the future while taking a fun-filled trip to the future,
with exhilarating visuals that go under the sea, into outer space and through the microworld.
