Repair by Cladding

MSCoating is useful for repair.

These data are performance of parts repaired by MSCoating.

1. Tensile strength

This is the tensile strength of MSCoating, basically atomospheric spray is 100%.

2. Machinability

No peeling when MSCoating layer was milled by end-mill cutter.

3. Heat impact test

After heat impact test, 10 times repeat of dipping in liquid nitrogen (-196 degree C) for 30 seconds and dipping in boiling water (95 degree C) for 30 seconds immediately, the boundary was observed and checked the peeling.

There is no defect in micro structure.

4. LCF (Low Cycle Fatigue) test

The fracture cycle of MSCoated test piece was about 60 % of no coated test piece that had only notch. But abnormalities, such as peeling, were not observed in MSCoating layer.

In the test piece which had only notch without MSCoating, it fractured from the bottom of notch (stress concentration part).

In the test piece which had MSCoating layer, it fractured from surface of MSCoating.
