Green light for IHI to launch a concrete product joint venture factory in Myanmar
IHI Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (Singapore, IHIAP) ,which is the regional headquarter of IHI Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) ,launches a pre-stressed concrete (PC) products factory which contributes to the infrastructure projects, as a joint venture with Department of Highways (DOH), Ministry of Construction of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Myanmar Investment Committee (MIC) granted the official approval to this investment plan recently.
IHI Group is very much happy to contribute to the prosperity of social infrastructure developments in Myanmar through this joint venture, and strongly wishes to respond to the demand for introducing and transferring the PC technology to Myanmar.
The joint venture is planning to produce PC bridge girder, PC spun pile and several construction related product by the technology of high intensity PC. We believe that there must be potential demands for the high intensity PC products to cope with earthquakes frequently occurring in Myanmar as same as Japan.
