Hot presses

Outline

Hot presses are furnaces to form materials by pressing under high temperature in high vacuum or inert gas atmosphere. Since our first model in 1984, IHI has been developing and improving hot presses to meet user’s demand for upsizing, higher pressing force and higher productivity.
IHI hot presses are applicable for both sintering, where powder is filled into a graphite molds to form target materials, ceramic materials and electronic materials, and diffusion bonding, to bond or form metal, ceramics and composited materials.
As a new field, we have also developed a hot forming press machine for press forming and superplastic forming of metallic plates using hot dies.

Multi-Axis Hot Press for Diffusion Bonding
Hot presses for bonding – single-axle type
