Paul Wurth IHI Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “PWIHI”) is pleased to announce that PWIHI has completed pad-up project for Coke Oven Batteries 2A&B at JFE Steel Kurashiki and started up to operate. PWIHI has delivered and completed this project as scheduled to start operation in April 2017 within 26 months after the contract.
As a countermeasure for less productivity due to the aged coke ovens after operating for 50 years, this coke oven renovation has enabled JFE Steel reaching 100% self-production of coke, which is their long-term business plan.
PWIHI actively introduces cutting-edge knowledge and technologies such as ones related to environment, energy saving, and low emission of CO2, and proposes coke ovens together with conventional meticulous engineering power, thus contributing to the stable supply of products of our customers, steel manufacturing companies.
Based on this significant milestone reference, PWIHI is globally accelerating business development in this field of coke ovens.
