Customer feedback
Customer
Since the Heat Exchanger Operational Headquarters building has three stories, it was determined that the vertical movement of the crane in the automated warehouse would be effective as a lifter. This plan was actually put into practice using IHI’s automated warehouse/retrieval system, resulting in drastic improvements in material handling efficiency between floors.
The automated warehouse for small objects/products in process was furnished with entrances at ten locations in line with the first through third floors. This allowed speedy supply of the needed materials to the designated work areas.
Customer
Introducing the IHI system dramatically streamlined inventory counting, in addition to achieving centralized inventory control in real time.
Further streamlining is desired by linking and integrating with nearby computer systems for production/purchase control.
