A storage/distribution center directly connected to the Yaizu fishery harbor production center, with one of the largest fishery yields in Japan. The monthly handling volume has reached about 1,600 tons in terms of “whole round”, or about 450 tons in terms of processed tuna. To fulfill ever-changing market needs with integrated processes extending from processing to distribution, the company expanded and renewed their facilities by adding 8,000 tons to the existing freezer capacity of 2,000 tons. These 10,000 tons now represent Japan’s largest ultra-low-temperature (under -60°C) distribution-type freezer warehouse. They produce 5,300 tons of sashimi (sliced raw fish) products at the nearby processing center.
