Launch of H-ⅡA Launch Vehicle No. 29

The H-ⅡA launch vehicle No. 29 was launched at 3:50 p.m on November 24, 2015 from the Tanegashima Space Center, and successfully put Telesat’s broadcast and telecommunication satellite,Telstar 12 VANTEGE into its scheduled orbit.
IHI Aerospace Co., Ltd. was involved at every step in the development and manufacture of the H-ⅡA's solid rocket boosters (SRB-A), the pyrotechnics for the stage separation and the second-stage reaction control gas jets, and also provided launch support at the site.

Launch of H-ⅡB Launch Vehicle No. 5

The H-ⅡB launch vehicle No. 5 was launched at 8:50:49 p.m. on August 19, 2015 from the Tanegashima Space Center, and successfully put the KOUNOTORI5 (HTV5) into its scheduled orbit.
IHI Aerospace Co., Ltd. was involved at every step in the development and manufacture of the H-ⅡB's solid rocket boosters (SRB-A), the pyrotechnics for the stage separation and the second-stage reaction control gas jets, and also provided launch support at the site.
We also took charge of the propulsion module, exposed pallet, resupply rack and onboard devices, a calorimetric electron telescope (CALET), multi-purpose small payload rack (MSPR2) and electrostatic levitation furnace (ELF).
The KOUNOTORI5 (HTV5) has successfully berthed to the International Space Station by maneuvering the robotic arm at 2:28 a.m. on August 25.

IHI Aerospace Manufactured Engine Selected for Intelsat 35e Satellite by Boeing

Tokyo, June 24, 2015 -IHI Aerospace Co., Ltd (IA) announced today that it has signed a contract with Boeing Satellite Systems International, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company (Boeing) to supply IA's 500N Liquid Apogee Engine for the Intelsat 35e satellite, which uses Boeing's 702MP bus.
"We are extremely happy about the receipt of this new order from Boeing. We are confident about providing such a reliable engine to our customers and we will continue to expand our business aggressively," said Naoki Matsuda, IA's Program Manager.
500N Liquid Apogee Engines, which were developed by IA, have the top-level performance of ISP in the world.
