History
On November, 2009, IHI Infrastructure Systems Co., Ltd. (IIS) started business as a unit of IHI Corporation, Matsuo Bridge Co., Ltd. and KURIMOTO BRIDGE, Ltd. in bridge business.
We also consolidated gate business with KURIMOTO, LTD. in January 2010 aiming at the establishment of a top-class position at home and abroad and realization of a strategy for further growth in bridge and gate businesses.
Our history, including the progress of IHI Corporation, Matsuo Bridge Co., Ltd., KURIMOTO, LTD., and KURIMOTO BRIDGE, Ltd., since they were established, is as follows.

The company name is changed from Ishikawajima Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. to Ishikawajima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. |

Kure Dock splits off from Harima Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. and is established as Kure Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. |

Ishikawajima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. and Harima Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. merge to establish Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. |

The company merges with Kure Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. |

The company name is changed from "Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd" to "IHI Corporation". |

ISMIC Co., Ltd. was established through the separation and integration of the bridge and water gate maintenance divisions of Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. and its group companies. |

Acquired the water gate maintenance business from Kurimoto Technos Co. Ltd. |

Acquired the bridge maintenance business from Kurimoto Technos Co., Ltd. |
| 2011 October |
Merged with MATSUO ENGINEERING CO., LTD. through a simplified merger and acquired the business of PC Bridge Co., Ltd.
The company name was changed from ISMIC Co., Ltd. to IHI Construction Service Co., Ltd. |

Acquired the water gate control information system business from IHI Infrastructure Systems Co., Ltd. |
| 2023 April |
Inherited the businesses related to water gates, steel pipes (excluding water pipe bridges), and vibration control, seismic isolation, and disaster prevention from IHI Infrastructure Systems Co., Ltd., as well as the water management business of Meisei Electric Co., Ltd., including discharge warning systems, telemeter (remote automatic data collection devices), and water gate control systems. |
