IHI Master Metal started research into superalloy refining technologies using a small vacuum melting furnace at the Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries Technical Research Institute in 1973. After switching to production, the company became Ishikawajima Master Metal Co.,Ltd. and became independent in 1983. We moved from Tokyo to Aioi in 1993 and became an incorporated public company in 1999. The company name changed to IHI Master Metal Co., Ltd. in 2007 and that is the name today.

Our main products are nickel- and cobalt-based alloy ingots for vacuum melting and precision casting. The three pillars of the final applications of our products are jet engines for aircraft, turbochargers for automobiles, and industrial gas turbines.

We produce ingots by vacuum melting material returned by the customer and new material according to the customer's specifications. Through 30 years' expertise, world-class production technologies and vacuum melting equipment, and application of sophisticated chemical analysis instruments, we have won the trust of customers in North America, Europe, Asia, as well as Japan.
