Transfer of head office from Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa to Minato-ku, Tokyo

Merger with IMEC Co., Ltd.

Industrial machine business of IHI Machinery and Furnace was merged to IHI Logistics & Machinery.
Establishment of Heat Treatment Technical Center in Kakamigahara Works

Ishikawajima Iwakuni Seisakusho Co., Ltd.

1973

Established as a specialist furnace factory for IHI. Company name: “Iwakuni Seisakusho Co., Ltd.” Capital: 200 million yen (70% IHI, 20% Teijin, 10% Kure Kogyo)

1976

Capital increased to 400 million yen (70% IHI, 20% Teijin, 10% Kure Kogyo).

1988

Establishment of service for vacuum and new materials furnace

1991

Construction of new office

1997

Transfer of vacuum and new materials furnace from IHI. Name was changed to “Ishikawajima Iwakuni Seisakusho Co., Ltd.”

1999

Transfer of IHI Industrial Furnace Engineering Department

2001

Acquired ISO 9001 certification.

2002

100% of capital acquired by IHI

2005

Total vacuum furnace orders reached 1,000 units.

2006

Total number of vacuum and new materials furnaces produced at the Iwakuni plant reached 1,000 units.

Japan Hayes Co., Ltd.

1974

Establishment of Japan Hayes Co., Ltd. based on a technical assistance contract with C.I. Hayes Inc., United States

1977

Transfer of head office to Niwa-gun Oguchi-cho, Aichi

1981

Expansion of plant in accordance to sequential development of vacuum thermal processing facilities. Capital increased to 30 million yen.

1982

Establishment of JH Heat Treatment Laboratory

1986

Delivery of vacuum heat treatment furnace unit No. 200 to Minebea Co., Ltd.

1991

Capital increased to 75 million yen

1993

Development and sale of vacuum washer

1996

Development of vacuum carburization machinery, ACT-VAC

2001

Expansion of office building and factory

2002

Receipt of capital participation from Ishikawajima-harima Heavy Industries (IHI) and becomes IHI Group Company.
Development and sale of HWB-V vacuum degreasing washer
Development and sale of V-MALS multi-ocular consecutive vacuum carburization machinery

Acquisition of ISO 9001 2000 quality management system license
