Accumulated production number of fuel injection pump for diesel engine achieve 100 thousand

NICO precision, subsidiary of IHI and 100% owned by Niigata Powers Systems Co.,Ltd, achieved its production 100,000 (Hundred thousand) of fuel injection pump for small-medium sized diesel engine mainly applicable for genset of marine and land use.

The fuel injection pump is one of key components for diesel engine and since 1995, NICO precision entered into the business of manufacturing and selling the fuel injection pump, it achieved 100,000 (Hundred thousand) production number in accumulate basis.

In 2006, it had achieved 50,000 (Fifty thousand) production and reliable quality of the product, the competitive price realized by improving production control has been highly evaluated for the customer, major engine maker around the globe.

At the initial stage, the production number was around 2,000 (Two thousand), it has been growing up to 26,000 (Twenty six thousand) in 2008, yearly sale 3.7 billion Japanese Yen consists of 60% of total sales of NICO precision in 2008 and its global market share reached in 30%, set top level ranking share.

In order to expand production capacity, the necessary investment has been implementing in addition to thorough production improvement. In February this year, the production line for fuel injection nozzle that in high replacement demand as mainly spare parts was expanded to up production capacity to 13,000 (Thirteen thousand) per months from 9,000(Nine thousand).

NICO precision continuously meet the latest demand from customers to line up the next generation fuel injection system controlled by electronics and to expand sale for Korea and Europe.
