Launch of the New High-Efficiency Centrifugal Compressor “TRZ Series”
Meeting Diverse Customer Needs for Flow and Pressure Ranges, Enhancing Efficiency, Reducing Operating Costs, and Improving Maintenance Performance
IHI Group company, IHI Rotating Machinery Engineering Co., Ltd. (IRM) has announced the launch of new high-efficiency centrifugal compressor, the "TRZ Series" (the New Model) (*1).
Historically, IRM has offered a wide range of compressor models tailored to various customer requirements for flow and pressure. This time, IRM provides a high-efficiency centrifugal compressor that covers a wide range within the world's largest market segment: motor output from 500 kW to 1,120 kW, discharge air volume from 5,600 to 12,320 m³/h (discharge pressure specification: 0.7 MPaG).

| 1. | Achievement of High Efficiency By adopting newly developed impellers, the TRZ Series achieves higher efficiency compared to the previous model "TRE Series". This advancement also expands the flow rate by approximately 15%, contributing to carbon solutions and environmental sustainability. |

| 2. | Reduction in Operating Costs The new model incorporates a direct lubrication system for the bearings that support high-speed rotating pinion shafts. Compared to the traditional oil bath method, this system reduces mechanical losses caused by oil agitation and enhances cooling performance. As a result, the TRZ Series delivers superior bearing load capacity while achieving energy savings, thereby reducing operating costs. |

| 3. | Improvement of Maintenance Performance By expanding the impeller lineup, the specifications for pinion gears and gearboxes, which previously required customization based on each flow rate and pressure, have been standardized, resulting in improved maintenance efficiency. Changes in flow rate or pressure can now be made simply by replacing the aerodynamic components. |

With the launch of the New Model, the lineup of general-purpose, industrial air centrifugal compressors has been expanded to seven models, enabling us to provide optimal solutions tailored to various production needs of customers.

Note *1: The current launch is for models compatible with 50Hz power frequency. Start of Sales of 60Hz-compatible models will follow in October 2025.
