3. Purpose of the Integration
In recent years, in the domestic market, there has been an increasing demand for the efficient and effective development, maintenance, and management of social infrastructure facilities, including bridges and water gates, as well as for maintaining disaster management functions and enabling prompt recovery in the event of disasters. Meanwhile, in overseas markets, strong infrastructure demand continues, and Japan’s advanced technologies in the fields of bridges and water gates are highly sought after.
Under these circumstances, by combining the strengths and human resources of both companies, we will further focus on the bridge maintenance business and accelerate the establishment of a framework to address social challenges. In addition, by integrating the bridge and water gate technologies cultivated domestically with the long-span bridge technologies developed overseas, we aim to establish a leading position in Japan’s bridge and water gate industry and achieve further growth through a global growth cycle.
4. Impact on Business Performance
The impact of this integration on IHI’s consolidated business performance will be minimal.
