IHI Holds Second IHI Piano Recital
IHI hosted its second piano recital at the Toyosu Civic Center in Koto Ward, Tokyo, near its Toyosu headquarters, on October 18, 2024.
The company held this event with the cooperation of the Japan Piano Teachers Association (PTNA) to support future local pianists and offer residents an opportunity to enjoy music in a community setting. Seven pianists, including performers from Toyosu, showcased their talents.
The participating pianists were among the top performers in PTNA’s prestigious contest. The highly successful event attracted around 230 attendees, including local residents, IHI Group employees, and individuals affiliated to PTNA.

The performers played on a Fazioli piano, a world-class Italian piano, which is permanently installed at the Toyosu Civic Center. There were two sessions.
In the first, six promising local players, from kindergarteners to elementary school students who excelled in the association’s 2024 national finals, fascinated the audience by performing their favorite pieces.
The second session featured a stunning performance by that contest’s Grand Prix winner.
One audience member noted that, “The recital concert was an excellent way to support tomorrow’s talent.” Another said that, “The performances were outstanding, and I very much look to the future successes of the pianists.”
IHI will keep engaging in such activities to deepen community ties and push forward with local social contribution endeavors.
