The IHI Group Holds Blood Drives at Offices Nationwide

The IHI Group has worked with the Japanese Red Cross Society to hold blood drives in headquarters representative’s offices across Japan. The collaboration between the two organizations goes back over five decades, starting in 1967. In FY2024, 53 blood drives were held at IHI sites across Japan, and a total of 2,531 employees gave blood. We will continue these blood drives nationwide in FY2025.

Two of the 53 drives were held at the Toyosu Head Office (located in Tokyo’s Koto Ward). Normally, the Toyosu Head Office holds one blood drive each fiscal year, but this year it held two, one in August and one in December. A total of 159 people took part. The main training room was used for the drive, with six beds set up for blood donors.
A blood drive was also conducted at the Tsurugashima Aero-Engine Works (in Tsurugashima City, Saitama Prefecture) in December 2024. This drive used a Japanese Red Cross Society bloodmobile, and 38 people gave blood.
The IHI Group will continue to contribute to society by supporting the activities of the Japanese Red Cross Society.
