IHI Group Holds “2nd IHI Group All Hands Meeting: Creating the Future of the IHI Group Together” at Yokohama Works

On November 12, 2025, the IHI Group held the “2nd IHI Group All Hands Meeting: Creating the Future of the IHI Group Together” employee event at its Yokohama Works.
Now in its second year, this event featured enhanced content compared to last year. Its objectives were to share the IHI Group’s management direction and to promote organizational transformation through two-way communication between management executives and employees. It was conducted simultaneously at the venue and online, targeting all IHI Group employees, including those at affiliated companies and overseas locations. Over 100 employees attended the venue, while several thousand more participated online from locations around the world.

On the day, the three members of the management team—President Ide, Vice President Morita, and Vice President Kobayashi—took the stage for a talk session that included an overview of management.
The first half featured a session on the IHI Group’s management status and direction. President Ide outlined the outlook for key financial indicators for fiscal 2025, including order intake, sales, and operating profit. He also discussed the focus on Growth Businesses, Development-focus Businesses (such as civil aero engine, defense, and nuclear energy) and progress on business portfolio reforms (including bridge business integration, business transfers, and capital efficiency improvements). During this session, the three executives provided candid responses to questions submitted by employees. They also shared their assessment of the business environment in the first half of fiscal 2025, points they wished to commend regarding initiatives in each business, and actual feedback received from customers and stakeholders.
The latter half featured a session themed “IHI 2040 Project: Creating the Future of the IHI Group Together,” launched in August 2025. This project encourages employees to envision and articulate the organizational culture they aspire to achieve by 2040. Management presented multiple proposals for “organizational culture directions” compiled from actual employee feedback. An employee survey was conducted asking which direction they resonated with, and the results were shared. Finally, three members of management shared their thoughts and visions for the future of the IHI Group, followed by a Q&A session with both on-site and online participants.

Concluding the event, President Ide addressed the employees: “We will continue to engage in dialogue with all of you across various regions. We want to build IHI’s organizational culture steadily, together with everyone. Management believes it is crucial to listen to every voice. Therefore, we want you to share your opinions on anything and everything.”

After the event, many positive comments were received from participants, providing each employee with an opportunity to reflect on organizational communication and culture. The IHI Group will continue this event going forward, fostering a culture that promotes internal communication and drives organizational transformation.
