The 3rd IHI Piano Concert Was Held

On December 5, 2025, IHI held its third IHI Piano Concert at the Toyosu Civic Center in Koto-ku, Tokyo, near its Toyosu headquarters.
This concert was organized with the cooperation of the Piano Teachers’ National Association of Japan (PTNA) with the aim of supporting aspiring pianists from Toyosu and providing local community members with an opportunity to enjoy music in a familiar setting. Pianists who achieved outstanding results in the PTNA Piano Competition, organized by the association, were invited to perform. This year, nine pianists, including performers from Toyosu, took the stage. On the day of the event, approximately 250 people attended, including local residents, IHI Group employees, and PTNA representatives, making it a great success.

The concert was performed on the Fazioli, a top-class Italian piano permanently installed at the Toyosu Civic Center, the venue for the event. Following a creative opening act by the Grand Prix winner of the PTNA Piano Competition 2025, the concert proceeded in two parts. In the first part, eight aspiring pianists from Toyosu, ranging from elementary school to high school students and recognized at the national finals of the competition, delighted the audience with their favorite classical pieces. In the second part, the Grand Prix winner gave a brilliant performance that captivated the audience.

Participants shared comments such as, “The program featuring both future little pianists and the Grand Prix winner was wonderful,” “The sound of the piano resonated deeply with me, and it gave me great energy as well as inspiration,” and “I am truly grateful to have been able to hear the piano up close and witness such a high level of technical skill.”

Through such activities, IHI will continue to deepen its engagement with the local community and carry forward community-based social contribution initiatives.
