Slurry is fed from the top of the machine in this stand type Guinard Continuous Centrifuge. Liquid in the slurry passes through the slit of the screen that rotates at high speed by centrifugal force, and then is separated. On the other hand, solid particles remaining inside the screen are scraped away by the scraper inside the rotator, and then discharged downwards.
In the cone type casing, the cone type basket in which the screen is set is installed. Inside of the basket, a scraper is installed with small clearance to discharge the solid. The screen and the scraper rotate at high speed in the same direction at a constant relative rate of speed.
Slurry is fed from the top of the casing, and liquid is spread out of the rotator by centrifugal force.
Separated solids are scraped away from the rotator, and discharged from the outlet at the bottom of the machine.
