IHI Concludes Human Resource Management Promotion & Analysis Loan

IHI announces today that it recently concluded a Human Resources Management Promotion & Analysis Loan agreement with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC).

That loan product draws on the proprietary assessment standards of SMBC and one of its subsidiaries, The Japan Research Institute, Limited, to assess corporate human capital management initiatives and disclosure, analyze progress and prospective issues with the suitability of initiatives and disclosure, and highlight examples of initiatives to address issues.

IHI obtained the top score in three key respects. The first was that top management has committed to human capital management. The second that was that the company created a systematic training program to develop change leaders. The third is that IHI has undertaken initiatives to create workplace environments that respect the career needs of individuals.

The company unveiled IHI Group ESG Management in November 2021 as a vehicle for ensuring socially and environmentally responsible management centered on ESG values. Human rights and diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to the company’s approach.

It will realize its goals by continuing to enhance its corporate culture and workplace environment so it can keep delivering job satisfaction.

IHI will keep pushing forward with ESG management through initiatives that connect the value of human talent to corporate value in keeping with its belief its human resources are our single most valuable asset.
