IHI Receives Gold Rating in PRIDE Index 2023 for Sixth Consecutive Year
IHI today announced that it has received a Gold rating for the sixth consecutive year under the PRIDE Index 2023 of work with Pride.
That nonprofit group advocates diversity management relating to LGBTQ+ and other sexual minorities at companies and other organizations, ranking their efforts annually through its PRIDE Index.
This award recognized the company’s policies regarding LGBTQ+ people, sexual orientation and gender identity under the IHI Group’s Basic Code of Conduct, as well as efforts to raise awareness through e-learning and management training for all employees, develop personnel programs and benefits, and undertake initiatives allying with LGBTQ+ causes.
Enhancing diversity is a key priority in IHI Group ESG Management, announced in 2021. The company will keep striving to enhance workplace environments so all employees, regardless sexual orientation, can maximize their potential. It is through such efforts that aims to equip its corporate structure to respond to changing business climates and empower diverse people to help it transform its operations in keeping with Group Management Policies 2023.
