About the Remote Monitoring Device (Remo-moni™)
Daily operation management is nesserary for keeping the performance and the function of gas turbine and auxiliary units well, in order to maximize the advantages associated with implemention of gas turbine power plant system. In particular, monitoring daily operating conditions day by day makes it possible to detect the evidences of the deterioration or abnormality of the equipments installed at power plant system. And, it allows to prepare of the overhaul & maintainance plan in advance, and helps to maintain the function and performance of the equipments of the power plant better. Remote monitoring system is a system which enables IHI engineer and technician at IHI headquaters or at IHI service branch offices to monitor the gas turbine power plant operation condition. IHI technician & engineer and our costomer can view the monitoring screen and access the same information of gas turbine power plant at the same time, so that it strengthen IHI maintainance support management system, and improves the reliability of the power plant system.
About the Remo-moni™
IHI developed remote monitoring system, so-called "Remo-moniTM " for monitoring the gas turbine power plant which IHI designed, developed and constructed for our customer. "Remo-moniTM "is the name of the remote monitoring system trade mark. IHI has offered our customer these remote monitoring products and services since 1995, in order to improve customer satisfaction of our customer who has gas turbine power plant installed with our gas turbine package.
Remo-moniTM allows us to monitor and analyze the conditions of gas turbine power plant of our customer at IHI headquarters and IHI branch office through telephone line or optical line. IHI continues to improve product feature and performance year by year with advancement of Information and Communication Technology.

Remo-moni™ allows operator and engineer of gas turbine power plant to view wide range of Operation database from the past to the present. It is also designed to transmit failure data automatically when a breakdown occurs, and to display alert on the monitor screen. IHI offers the following services with the functions which mentioned above.
** Immediate response, and appropriate solution of problems & early recoery when failures occur.
When trouble occurs, IHI technician and engineer analyze the cause of the problem using the Remo-moni™ accurately and quickly, and we can solve the problem immediately implementing the most appropriate solution based on the results of the analysis.
**Pertinent advice provided as part of support
IHI technician and engineer can provide partinent advice viewing the Remo-moni™ monitor screen at IHI headquaters or IHI branch office as same as that of our customer at the same time, in response to customer questions and concerns regarding the operation and maintenance of gas turbine power plant.

Q1: Are the communications fees extremely expensive?
A1: No, they are quite reasonable. With the expansion of Internet use, Internet communications fees have fallen dramatically over the years.
Although it varies depending on the Internet service provider (ISP), contracts usually run between ¥3,000 to ¥5,000 per month.
Q2: How about the security? How the data associated with the system are protected?
A2: IHI protects data on its servers using an original security program that it developed. (Not published)
On the customer side, data is strictly protected as communications are only allowed to flow one way, from [the Customer site] to [IHI].
Q3: How about the Internet Connection? How the data of gas turbine power plant in case 2 or more gas turbine power plants eixit in same 1 custmer site?
A3: The data of 2 or more gas turbine power plants can be transmitted to the communication line with single Internet connection.
Customers only need to subscribe to a single Internet line in such cases.
