Human Resource Management/Human Resource Development

The IHI Group recruits and trains human resources as the most vital management resource through our management philosophies of “Contribute to the development of society through technology” and “Human resources are our single most valuable asset.”
We strive to realize a healthy, safe, work-friendly environment where everyone respects one another and prospers.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)

The IHI Group positions collaboration with diverse human resources as a material management issue and promotes DE&I as one of the initiatives to achieve this objective. We are aiming to transform our organizational culture to incorporate a DE&I approach and leverage the power of diversity to create value, recognizing and respecting the differences between individual employees and focusing on building an environment and an organization in which each employee can maximize the full potential of their own personality.

Occupational Health and Safety/Well-Being

Ensuring safety and health is the foundation of business activities and is considered a key management issue. We promote the creation of a work environment where not only group employees but all people who work with us can work safely and healthily.

Human Rights

The IHI Group formulated the IHI Group Human Rights Policy in December 2020 based on its management philosophy and its approach to human rights outlined in the Basic Code of Conduct for the IHI Group under the approval of the Board of Directors.
Through human rights awareness activities based on international standards, we will fulfill our responsibility to respect the human rights of all by fostering a respectful organizational culture and promoting human rights throughout our business activities.

Supply Chain Management

We have established a basic policy with three pillars: Fair and Impartial Procurement, Mutually Beneficial Partnership with our Business Partners, and Approach to Compliance and Social Responsibility, on the basis of which we carry out procurement activities. In procurement of materials and equipment necessary for business activities, we give sufficient consideration not only to basic requirements such as quality, price, and delivery time but also to human rights, labor, occupational health and safety, environment, and information management.

Quality and Product Safety

We conduct business based on the principle of providing socially useful products and services that satisfy and are trusted by customers, provided with sufficient consideration for safety and contributing to social development. We strive to ensure the quality of our products and services, considering it as a bond of trust between the IHI Group and the customers and society we serve.

Corporate Citizenship

We consider it the company’s social responsibility to meet the expectations of society, and engage in social contribution activities. Regarding the social contribution activities that should be undertaken in the areas where business bases are located, we set “Coexistence with Local Communities” and “Development of Next-generation Professionals” as key issues, based on the relevance to the business activity in question.
