IHI Engineering Review, a public relations journal on technologies of the IHI Group, will globally share its technology and business development activities. In order to advance in an environment with immediate threats and uncertainty about the future, it is believed important to envisage a future society from a new perspective without stereotypical biases. In efforts to contribute to such a future society, we have been examining the direction of technology development while accommodating a rapidly changing society. This issue introduces some of our efforts such as adoption of new development approaches and sophistication of technology realized by combining multiple element technologies.
